Evenings !! such a special time !!
It was late afternoon... around 4.30... Finished my days work at college, took the last sip of coffee.. !
There she came with her friends... ! giggling and chatting as always... !
The western sky became red & ready to swallow the Sun !! Birds flew, sang happily... !
I could feel my heart beating, I could feel me breathing, I wrote a thousand poetries inside my little heart to explain her how it felt inside !!
Took that deep breathe,,, Meanwhile my heart and mind were at their usual fight, between 'yes' and 'no'.... !!
But that day, my heart won for the first time !! 'yes' it was !!
The sky above was more interested in pushing the Sun below the Earth ! The Sun became ready to take the dive !!
"ummm .. exx.. excuse me... ", did I just say that ?? she turned towards me ! She had that sweet look on her brown eyes !! The long ponytail looked perfect for her cute face.. ! The smile looked decent but thoroghly melted me......
The clouds gathered together for the perfect greeting to the Sun god... !
"Yes,.. u called me ? ", I dont know how she knew that call was for her ! Off all her friends, only she replied me ! I gained some hope !!
"umm.. can I talk to you now ?? If.. if its not a problem to you.... "
She smiled and nodded... She then requested her friends to wait for her outside... !!
They giggled at that... and they gave us the space needed....
Above, ruby rays of the sun swept across the sky... It seem to clear the sky and make way for the twinkling stars...
I immediately wanted to put those three magical words, and tell her....
Yeah I did...
"You - want - coffee ? ",.... how lame :P
"No, thanks....... if u insist, a milkshake would do !", I really dint want to insist !!
"bhaai ! erdu apple milkshake !! ", I ordered two milkshakes for us...
After we found a suitable place outside the cafeteria, she broke the silence...
"you wanted to speak something... ? ",
"ya, ya.... I just, just wanted to tell this to you... that... ", idiot, stop stammering and tell it to her... !! come what may !! my heart was speaking to me...
"I love you.... " !!
Again, did I just say that ??
No, idiot... this voice is much sweeter than yours... !! SHE SAID IT !!!
The Sun by this time was half inside the clouds... !!
She continued...
"I love you.. that was what u wanted to say right ??? ", Her voice sounded frank !
I now forgot to breathe or forgot to hear the heart beat which were the only voices inside my head till now !!
"YES ! I fell in love, the first time I saw u... The first time ur eyes met mine, when u picked up the coin which fell off my pocket that day... !! I was totally lost in your eyes !! Thats it ! that smile of yours !! it completely snatched away my heart from me !! YOU are the girl of my dreams !! Now tell me... do u love me ?? ", my voice did not stammer this time !!
Her smile didn't vanish.. but her smile looked different now, I thought.. but couldnt figure out what it meant....
"Tell me, what do you expect from this relationship ? what should I expect ? ", she said...
"This ain't business ! To expect somethin out of a relationship, how cheap ! I promise you, I love you more than anyone else in this world ! My love NEVER dies ! remember that ! what else do you want, a written agreement or what ?? ", my voice was louder....
"dont ever judge me !! I have never met u before, and now you expect me to get committed to u ? how can I even do that ?? ", she replied, was not angry...
"All you want is time right,,, I'll wait for days, months, years or whateva for you.... !! ", me filmy !!
" Stupidity ! what if I make you wait for years and then reject you ?? You guys will call me a b**** what else ?? If I readily accept, then if I change my mind for someone else,,, u'll call me a s**t !! Is this all how a guy respects a girl who he loved so much ?? A girl is called a s**t if she does the same thing what a guy does !! HOW CHEAPER is THIS ??? ", she could talk loudly .. !!!
"I am not that kind of a guy... now U stop judging me !!! So u do change minds, huh ?? ", me wondering what is this turning out to be !!
"That's what ! How can I be sure of a stable future if I believe you ?? A girl, ultimately wants a stable and secure future with her husband ! Can you assure me that ? You yourself is dependant on your dad and mom now !! what if, just what if you dont............. ", she stopped in the middle. I understood what she meant...
" So I cant expect any support from my partner if I get committed with you... ! you will leave me stranding alone if I become a loser aa ?? GOD !! u ppl do exist !! ", I was rather sarcastic at her....
The sun by this time was completely inside Earth and out of the scene !! Vanished into darkness !!
"You can have your dream girl, but I cant have m dream boy, right ?? I dreamt of a guy who is completely independant and can promise me a safe future... That's it... ! I dont want Ambani's son or whoever !! Right now, I cant trust you to provide me a safe future, am so sorry... ", she really meant that sorry...
The evening breeze froze me completely ! I thought of a few good words as a reply... Somehow, a girls rejection didn't bring out any words out of me, though I had thousands of them inside ! That sorry hurt me the most.. !
"I meant when I said I wouldn't accept even Ambani's son, coz even he is totally dependant on his dad completely ! He is a nobody if his dad throws him out... ! So how can I trust him ?? I know how to trust a person, so I need not be thought about that. I know how to keep that trust also...
Please dont be upset... Dont lose hope in life, be a successful person in life... ! Lets be friends from now on, but for a committment, am sorry... I have been frank, and.... thats it ! ", she gave that haunting smile again !

After the formal handshake, she left. Smiling again... The Sun may have left darkness here, but somewhere, some part of this Earth now starts a new, fresh day ! Here, the sun may have gone, but still we get its reflections from the moon !!
I heard another voice !!
"Sir, 40 rupeess billu... !! erd milkshake ge !! ", the waiter !!
As I searched for my wallet, I noticed that she had left out 20 rs on the table... ! she DID mean when she said she dint want to be dependant !!

I guess, a girl ultimately looks for a secure future from her guy, that's it.. ! Guys, if you want an angel, your job is to build a heaven for her ! If at all she leaves you, probably she's not your type, or she couldn't trust you for a good future... And you gals, you may have the right to chose your husband... It doesnt mean u can just get committed with random people, then later on break ups and fresh 'new loves' ! Is commitment a joke or what ?? For all, we all have a perfect partner somewhere on this earth... We just need to be patient enough to meet that person !
Here, probably the Sun represents the guy's feelings, milkshakes - the materialistic wealth, which the girl finally says she can manage to handle it, independantly, the girl - well the one special women in our life !!
